COMPANY COLLAPSE CREATES OFFICE OPPORTUNITY
The collapse of one of Australia’s largest providers of IT courses has resulted in an entire building in Sydney’s southern CBD coming on the office rental market.
The previous occupant Excom Education took a 10 year lease on 299 Sussex Street, Sydney, in 2008 on the whole building but the national company suddenly closed its doors in August and liquidators were appointed.
Ray White Commercial Office Leasing directors John Skufris and Anthony Harris are now marketing 299 Sussex St on behalf of Posei Pty Limited.
“The closure of Excom Education is an indication of the tough times the education sector has encountered,” Mr Skufris said.
“It also now provides new opportunities for tenants seeking modern space in Sydney’s southern CBD.
“The building at 299 Sussex St currently offers approximately 2800 sqm of contiguous office space over eight floors plus basement parking.”
Mr Skufris said tenancies from only approximately 150 sqm are available, either in open plan configuration or existing fit outs.
“299 Sussex Street is an impressive offering with the original heritage features retained with the addition of new office space including modern lifts, balconies, and shower facilities, and the building has a wonderful outlook over Darling Park,” he said.
“The building is only three years old and whole floors offer three sides of natural light. There is also on-call building management.”
